Cowes Week 20074th August until 11th August
Skandia Cowes Week is the largest annual sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon, with almost 1,000 yachts and 8,000 competitors taking part. The eight-day event, which has been running since 1826, is great for sailors and visitors alike, with an exciting racing schedule afloat and a packed social programme on shore throughout the Week.

Even if you're not taking part, a visit to Cowes during the regatta is a must with it's great selection of specialist shops, excellent line-up of live bands, superb choice of cuisine and carnival-like atmosphere - plus one of the best sailing spectacles in the entire world of course!

Fireworks Night
On the final Friday of Skandia Cowes Week, there will be a spectacular firework display which will take place from a floating raft just off the Marine Esplanade. The best view is from the Green in Cowes or afloat and the event is free.
