Cowes Week
Cowes Week is the largest annual sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon, with almost 1,000 yachts and 8,000 competitors taking part. The eight-day event, which has been running since 1826, is great for sailors and visitors alike, with an exciting racing schedule afloat and a packed social programme on shore throughout the Week.

Experience
Even if you're not taking part, a visit to Cowes during the regatta is a must with it's great selection of specialist shops, excellent line-up of live bands, superb choice of cuisine and carnival-like atmosphere - plus one of the best sailing spectacles in the entire world of course!

Entertainment
Whether you're sailing or spectating, Skandia Cowes Week offers a wealth of shoreside entertainment and things to do throughout the day.

Fireworks Night
On the final Friday of Skandia Cowes Week, there will be a spectacular firework display which will take place from a floating raft just off the Marine Esplanade. The best view is from the Green in Cowes or afloat and the event is free.
