Little Britain Challenge Cup
Peter Thompson, Steve Green and Phil Davis, who were all consultants for the Little Britain Office Development on London Wall, did not know what they were starting in 1988. The original wager for the single race was the price of a dinner. Today it is the biggest regatta in England after Cowes Week, and is easily the biggest European industry event.

Success
The success has been such, that 17 years later the Royal Ocean Racing Club has had to re-programme its events to take account of the gathering.

Where
The event takes place in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. The racing takes place in the Solent and is organised by the Royal Yacht Squadron. The regatta headquarters are located in the Cowes Yacht Haven where all of the social events take place.

When
The next LBCC takes place in Cowes from the 14th to the 17th September 2006
